TROTTER RESIDENCE

Any substantial addition represents challenges with regard to unifying the existing structure with the new construction. First and foremost, the integrity of the new roof, windows and casings, siding and seals must be flawless to maintain structural integrity and energy efficiency over time. Of nearly equal importance is the aesthetic blending of the new and existing structures. This project presented challenges in tying the compound angles of the old roofline with the new, working around the existing chimney and roof valley and seamlessly matching siding. We take pride in blending new and existing structures together and in maintaining the architectural intent of a home inside and out.
