TOOKEY RESIDENCE

This underutilized formal sitting room was burdened by 1960s paneling, worn carpeting and a cold fireplace mantel. We uncovered and refinished the long-strip oak flooring, refinished the wall and molding surfaces and created a showcase mantel that incorporates detailing from wood features found elsewhere in the home. The room is now a well-used gathering space and an asset to the property.
